KARIA came out of Bilgin's İstanbul yard in 2022 with an unusual brief: the owner wanted the main aft deck to work as the centre of the boat rather than a place people pass through. It is nine metres wide, shaded the whole day, and the table seats fourteen without anyone having to shuffle.

Below, the beach club opens on three sides. The swim platform is level with the water rather than a step above it, which matters more than it sounds — guests get in and out of the sea without thinking about it, and that is what people remember about a week on board.

Her captain has run this coast for nineteen years and knows which bays stay flat when the meltem fills in after lunch.
