MELTEM V is a 38-metre Perini Navi ketch, refitted through the winter of 2023. She is on the small side for a Perini, which is exactly why she sails the way she does — nine knots in twelve of breeze without touching an engine, and quiet enough at night that you hear the water and nothing else.
The interior is Liaigre: oak, linen, and very little else. It has aged better than most of what was being built in 2016.
Her draft is 3.9 m, so a handful of the shallower Greek anchorages are out. Everywhere else on this coast is open to her.
